The Mass Communication unit of Muslim Student Society of Nigeria Kaduna polytechnic hosted its first annual orientation together with public lecture for 2022 session.
The orientation took place this Thursday as key officials from the department featured the high table with Malam Yusuf Buhari who is the Chairman of the event, the HOD Dr Ahmed Ibrahim Gambo, the former HOD, Malam Aliyu Sulaiman, Dr Abdullahi Doki, the society’s grand patron Dr Bashir Hadi Ashara and other lectures.
Guest speakers are; the examination officer Malam Ahmed Balarabe Sa’id who spoke on the Examination Ethics and Malpractice Penalties, Malama Aisha Gambo Magaji who spoke on Good Morals of the life of Mislim Studdnts in campus, and the Chairman Student Advisory Committee, Malam Sanusi Rufa’i Buhari who contribute on the Good Morals of students life in campus.
The orientation centered its theme on Reshaping Morals and Raising Islam Ambassadors in trying to guide the new entry students as the target audience on the don and don’ts during the period of their studies and to behave good even after school.
Immidiately after the welcoming address by the grand patron, the Head of the department while giving a welcoming remark, thank the society’s leadership, and call on the students to coporate and portrait Islam in action by making sure they perform well during their studies.
Also the Chairman of the event malam Yusuf who complained on the turn out of the event compared to the number of students in the department, urge the students to be good students, respect their lecturers and perform well in their academic journey.
On the other hand Dr Abdullahi Doki while commenting on an Islamic poem presented by the students, encouraged the students to focus much on the world of poems as it is very importand and influential in the world of communication.
In addition, the former HOD, malam Sulaiman welcome the student snd call on the them to be good students and behave in accordance with islamic teachings.
While rounding up the event, the departmental cordinator in presence of the mainbody Ameer of kaduna polytechnic and other MSS officials, thanked the guest one after the other for keeping off their premuim time and activities to grace this event, and lastly call on the students to take note of all the don don’ts stated as a guidace during their academic journey in the institution.
